“Crafted In Fiber”

The Alexander House invites the public to welcome the New Year with the opening of Crafted in Fiber, a fiber invitational exhibition celebrating the richness, diversity, and innovation of traditional and contemporary fiber art.
Crafted in Fiber brings together an accomplished group of regional artists whose work spans traditional techniques and contemporary approaches to fiber art. Featured artists include Gabriel Berg (Viroqua, WI), Nancy Blake (Baraboo, WI), Barbara Cobb (Chanhassen, MN), Mary Crnkovich (Spring Lake, WI), Pat Gaska (Rothschild, WI), Ludmila Gancova (Middleton, WI), Christine Herrmann (Wisconsin Rapids, WI), Patricia Larsen (Amherst, WI), Beth Lemerand (Milwaukee, WI), Kathy Johnson (Milwaukee, WI), Elise Thornton (Stevens Point, WI), Deanna Waltz (Wisconsin Rapids, WI), and Jeanne Weymouth (Wisconsin Rapids, WI).
The exhibition highlights a wide range of fiber-based works, including textile construction, surface design, mixed media, and sculptural forms. Together, the artists demonstrate the expressive possibilities of fiber as both a traditional craft and a contemporary art form.
The Opening Reception is on Friday, January 9, 2026, 5:00 – 8:00 PM
The exhibit will continue through February 17, 2026
The Alexander House is open from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday or by appointment
